friday's list

Loved this heartfelt post from Rhonda on partial self-sufficiency

Lemon is one of my favorite flavours, I like the sound of these lemon macadamia balls

This is a fabulous post by Alexx Stuart about mindful eating and teaching our children to eat mindfully rather than mindlessly munching and snacking frequently. Wish I'd written it myself! Well worth reading.

If you haven't read it already I think many of you will relate to Mamacino's food meltdown and find her follow up post on tips for eating gluten free complete with delicious gf chocolate tart recipe satisfying.

Loved adding Vanessa to my list of wholefood mama interviewees this week. Thanks Vanessa!

You may have noticed a couple of additions over on the right sidebar, Transition Farm as one of my supporters I am such a fan of what Robin and her husband Peter are doing on their farm growing food and reconnecting our local community with where food comes from, it is a real honor to share the love here. And you'll see an affiliate link to Leonie Dawson's business goddess e-course and Amazing Biz and Life Academy. I think most of us know what we need to do in order to fulfil our dreams and goals but often the gap between the knowing and doing is w...i...d...e. I have been working my way through Leonie's business goddess e-course and the many other resources that come with joining her academy and it is giving me clarity, a clear action plan and accountability. If you are brimming with ideas and dreams but feeling overwhelmed about where to start this could be your place. (For those who haven't heard of affiliate programs before being an affiliate means that I get a commission if you sign up for Leonie's program or if I was to become an affiliate for a product I would get a commission if you purchased the product).

If you are on the Mornington Peninsula on Sunday 20th October Transition Farm are having an open day. A wonderful opportunity to visit a real working farm and learn about small scale, sustainable market gardening. There will be two tours Morning and Afternoon bookings are essential : petercarlyon@gmail.com

Please take a moment to look at my husband Pete's seventh book to be released in November Fire & the Story of Burning Country Pete spent time with Elders in Cape York recording their story traditional land management with fire the book features Pete's beautiful photography. You can pre-order the book or buy prints from the book here.

We are gearing up here for a family reunion on Sunday with Pete's Dads side of the family. I've never been to one before so am not entirely sure what to expect! I am looking forward to it. What are you up to this weekend?

I hope it is delicious and nourishing whatever you are up to, and good luck with the lunchboxes on monday to those heading back to school. Have fun!
